The Hempfield Area Spartans ice hockey team scored 4 points and held the host Armstrong River Hawks to 1 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now own a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cathedral Prep for a bout on Thursday, February 20. Hempfield Area will encounter a Ramblers team coming off a 6-4 league win over Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Ramblers record now stands at 22-12.

With the defeat, Armstrong moves to 9-12 on the season. The River hawks host Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA) to encounter the Highlanders in a bout on Thursday, February 20. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 4-16. Baldwin lost 6-4 in their recent league bout against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA)
