The Alleghany Cougars basketball team scored 45 points and limited the host Carroll County Cavaliers to 38 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now have a 17-4 record. They play next when they host James River for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 19. Alleghany will confront a Knights team coming off a 52-14 non-league loss to Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Knights record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Carroll County falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Radford (Radford, VA) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. The Bobcats go into the game with a record of 5-15. Radford lost 49-40 in their recent non-league game against Floyd County (Floyd, VA)
