The Cook Hornets baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Lamar County Trojans to 2 in the Hornets non-league win on Wednesday.
The Hornets now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Marion County for a non-league test on Friday, February 20. Cook will play a Eagles team coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Pelham (Pelham, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-3.
With the defeat, Lamar County drops to 2-3 on the year. The Trojans host Jackson (Jackson, GA) to battle the Red Devils in a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 24. The Red Devils come into the outing with a record of 2-4.
