The Cook Hornets baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Clinch County Panthers to 1 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Hornets (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Atkinson County (Pearson, GA). The Rebels go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Atkinson County was overwhelmed by Cook (Adel, GA), 13-0, in a non-league contest.

The Panthers now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they host McIntosh County Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 22. Clinch County will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 0-3.
