Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) and the visiting Westview Wolverines (San Diego, CA), saw La Costa Canyon's baseball squad knock off Westview by a count of 10-4.
Coming up next, the Mavericks play the Paloma Valley Wildcats (Menifee, CA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 22. La Costa Canyon will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Wildcats go into the match with a 0-1 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA).
