In Monday's league outing, the Spring Grove Lions (Spring Grove, MN) basketball squad beat the host Mabel-Canton Cougars (Mabel, MN), by a count of 65-50.

The Lions (23-3) will now prepare for their outing against Houston (Houston, MN). The Hurricanes go into the A Section 1 outing with a 15-10 record. In their last outing, Houston defeated Schaeffer Academy (Rochester, MN), 55-43, in a league outing.

The Cougars now hold a 13-12 record. They play next when they host Kingsland for a A Section 1 outing on Tuesday, February 20. Mabel-Canton will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 71-65 league win over Lanesboro (Lanesboro, MN). The Knights record now stands at 19-5.
