The Derby Panthers routed the host Newton Railroaders basketball team by a final score of 70-25 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I game, on Tuesday, February 20. Derby will attempt to move on its 15-3 season record. The Salthawks enter the game with a 11-7 record after their 58-42 non-league win over Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS).
