Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Dover Senators (Dover, DE), 53-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Smyrna upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Appoquinimink (West Middletown, DE) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 11-8. Appoquinimink won 57-50 in their recent non-league bout against Hodgson Vo-Tech (Newark, DE)
