Illinois High School Basketball - Central sneaks past Hampshire

The Central Rockets (Burlington, IL) basketball edged the visiting Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL), 64-58 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Rockets now possess a 22-8 record. They play next when they host Cary-Grove for a Fox Valley bout on Friday, February 21. Central will play a Trojans team coming off a 49-44 league loss to McHenry (McHenry, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 17-13.

With the loss, Hampshire falls to 11-19 on the campaign. The Whip-purs host Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL) to play the Gators in a Fox Valley bout on Friday, February 21. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 26-4. Crystal Lake South won 77-65 in their recent league bout against Jacobs (Algonquin, IL)
