The Crestwood Chargers basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Melvindale Cardinals to 45 in the Chargers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Chargers now possess a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Riverview for a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. Crestwood will confront a Pirates team coming off a 76-59 league win over Airport (Carleton, MI). The Pirates record now stands at 16-5.

With the loss, Melvindale falls to 13-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Roosevelt (Wyandotte, MI) to confront the Bears in a non-league game on Friday, February 21. The Bears go into the game with a record of 0-21. Roosevelt lost 60-36 in their recent non-league game against Tecumseh (Tecumseh, MI)
