Buna Cougars (Buna, TX) fans went home satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their softball team tip the visiting Evadale Rebels (Evadale, TX), 8-4 in a non-league battle.

The Cougars now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Deweyville for a non-league battle on Friday, February 20. Buna will confront a Pirates team coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Evadale moves to 0-2 on the season. The Rebels host Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 19. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Kelly Catholic lost 16-4 in their recent non-league challenge against West Sabine (Pineland, TX)
