Westport Wildcats (Westport, MA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bishop Connolly Cougars (Fall River, MA), 72-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westport upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Wildcats host West Bridgewater (West Bridgewater, MA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Holbrook Bulldogs (Holbrook, MA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 4. Bishop Connolly will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 74-44 league win over Avon (Avon, MA).
