Piner Prospectors (Santa Rosa, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ukiah Wildcats (Ukiah, CA), 53-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Piner upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Prospectors travel to Elsie Allen (Santa Rosa, CA) to clash with the Lobos in a North Bay - Redwood bout on Friday, February 4. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 7-15. Elsie Allen lost 66-38 in their recent league bout against West County (Sebastopol, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Rancho Cotate Cougars (Rohnert Park, CA) in a North Bay - Redwood bout, on Friday, February 4. Ukiah will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 85-24 league win over Elsie Allen (Santa Rosa, CA).
