Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX), 38-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stratford upgrades its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Cypress Creek (Houston, TX) to play the Cougars in a bout on Saturday, February 5. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Cypress Creek won 52-50 in their recent league bout against Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Cy-Fair Bobcats (Cypress, TX) in a bout, on Saturday, February 5. Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
