In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), by a margin of 60-46.

The Yellow Jackets (16-5) will now prepare for their outing against Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cougars go into the 2A/3A Conference 44 outing with a 2-16 record. In their last outing, Central Academy thwarted Carolina Christian (Locust, NC), 44-24, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Marvin Ridge for a 4A Conference 58 outing on Friday, February 4. Piedmont will encounter a Mavericks squad coming off a 56-54 non-league win over Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 17-4.
