North Carolina High School Basketball - Rosman knocked off by Avery County

February 2, 2023: Rosman, NC 28772

The Avery County Vikings basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Rosman Tigers to 39 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Owen for a 1A/2A Conference 42 contest on Friday, February 3. Avery County will meet a Warhorses team coming off a 49-41 non-league win over Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 10-12.

The Tigers (3-20) will now prepare for their contest against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers enter the 1A/2A Conference 42 contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Mitchell was defeated by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 58-44, in a league contest.
