Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Excelsior Charter Eagles (Victorville, CA) and the host Big Bear Bears (Big Bear City, CA), saw Excelsior Charter's basketball squad hold off Big Bear by a count of 51-48.

With the victory, Excelsior Charter upgrades its record to 4-15 on the campaign.

Next up, the Bears play the Hesperia Christian Patriots (Hesperia, CA) in a Cross Valley challenge, on Friday, February 3. Big Bear will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record.
