Washington, DC High School Basketball - Gonzaga trounces Bishop Ireton

The Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) basketball crushed the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), 83-49 in Thursday's league test.
The Eagles (19-4) will now prepare for their test against St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 19-8 record.
The Cardinals now own a 12-11 record. They play next when they host Bishop McNamara for a Washington Catholic test on Tuesday, February 7. Bishop Ireton will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 80-71 non-league win over Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 20-5.
