The Clay City Eels (Clay City, IN) basketball knocked off the host Shakamak Lakers (Jasonville, IN), 73-56 in Thursday's league test.
The Eels (14-6) will now prepare for their test against North Central (Farmersburg, IN). The Thunderbirds go into the Southwestern Indiana test with a 10-8 record.
The Lakers now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lighthouse Christian Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Shakamak will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 71-38 non-league win over Phalen Leadership Academy (Indianapolis, IN). The Lions record now stands at 14-3.
