The DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN) basketball knocked off the visiting Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN), 68-49 in Thursday's league test.
The Tigers (10-12) will now prepare for their test against Cumberland County (Crossville, TN). The Jets go into the 3A District 7 test with a 4-21 record. In their last test, Cumberland County went down by Upperman (Baxter, TN), 56-41, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 3-23 record. They play next when they travel to Stone Memorial for a 3A District 7 test on Friday, February 3. Macon County will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 56-43 non-league win over Upperman (Baxter, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 20-3.
