Menomonie Mustangs (Menomonie, WI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Eau Claire North Huskies (Eau Claire, WI), 71-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Menomonie upgrades its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs host New Richmond (New Richmond, WI) to play the Tigers in a Big Rivers bout on Saturday, February 4. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 4-12. New Richmond lost 72-58 in their recent league bout against River Falls (River Falls, WI)

Next up, the Huskies play the Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI) in a Big Rivers bout, on Saturday, February 4. Eau Claire North will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 63-51 league win over Rice Lake (Rice Lake, WI).
