Mansfield Lions (Mansfield, MO) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Forsyth Panthers (Forsyth, MO), 53-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mansfield upgrades its record to 21-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Seymour (Seymour, MO) to play the Tigers in a Summit bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 16-5. Seymour lost 59-49 in their recent non-league bout against Strafford (Strafford, MO)

Next up, the Panthers play the Waynesville Tigers (Waynesville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 15-4 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 57-48 league loss to Hillcrest (Springfield, MO).
