Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Morristown-Beard Crimson (Morristown, NJ), 44-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kittatinny Regional upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Cougars host Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 4-11.

Next up, the Crimson play the The Pingry School Big Blue (Martinsville, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Morristown-Beard will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Big Blue go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 72-65 non-league loss to Immaculata (Somerville, NJ).
