The Takoma Academy Tigers basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Lanham Christian Lions to 56 in the Tigers league victory on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 20-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southern Maryland Christian Academy for a Maryland Independent contest on Monday, February 6. Takoma Academy will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 70-58 league loss to Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-10.

The Lions (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against King's Christian Academy (Callaway, MD). The come into the Maryland Independent contest with a 6-15 record. In their last contest, King's Christian Academy was nudged by Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD), 67-47, in a league bout.
