The Red Rock Scorpions (Sedona, AZ) basketball knocked off the visiting Madison Highland Prep Heat (Phoenix, AZ), 58-49 in Thursday's league test.
The Scorpions (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Phoenix Country Day (Paradise Valley, AZ). The Eagles go into the 2A Metro test with a 18-5 record. In their last test, Phoenix Country Day went down by Arizona Lutheran Academy (Phoenix, AZ), 75-60, in a non-league test.
The Heat now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Scottsdale Preparatory Academy for a 2A Metro test on Tuesday, February 7. Madison Highland Prep will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 50-40 league win over Veritas Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 12-14.
