The Stanton Buffaloes (Stanton, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Presidio Blue Devils (Presidio, TX), 46-44 in Thursday's league test.

The Buffaloes (15-11) will now prepare for their test against Compass Academy (Odessa, TX). The go into the 3A Region I District 4 test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, Compass Academy was tipped by Crane (Crane, TX), 48-35, in a league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 9-14 record. They play next when they host Tornillo for a 3A Region I District 4 test on Friday, February 3. Presidio will encounter a Coyotes squad coming off a 84-54 league win over Alpine (Alpine, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 26-1.
