Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas (Maricopa, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils (Eloy, AZ), 89-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Sequoia Pathway Academy upgrades its record to 7-13 on the season. The Pumas host Tempe Prep (Tempe, AZ) to clash with the Knights in a 2A South bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Tempe Prep lost 53-50 in their recent league bout against Horizon Honors (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Dust Devils clash with the Chandler Prep Titans (Chandler, AZ) in a 2A South bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Santa Cruz Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 58-50 league win over St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ).
