Shadow Ridge Stallions (Surprise, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ), 69-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Shadow Ridge upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season.

Next up, the Monsoon play the Maricopa Rams (Maricopa, AZ) in a 6A West Valley bout, on Friday, February 3. Valley Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 7-18 record after their 41-33 league loss to West Point (Avondale, AZ).
