In Thursday's league match, the host River Valley Raiders basketball team scored a decisive 55-25 triumph over the Alexander Spartans.
In their next game, the Raiders face the Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 4. River Valley will attempt to move on its 12-7 season record. The Big Blacks enter the match with a 4-15 record after their 42-22 non-league loss to Grace Christian (Huntington, WV).
With the defeat, Alexander moves to 0-18 on the year.
