Altoona Railroaders (Altoona, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Prescott Cardinals (Prescott, WI), 53-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Altoona upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Railroaders travel to Baldwin-Woodville (Baldwin, WI) to clash with the Blackhawks in a Middle Border bout on Saturday, February 4. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Baldwin-Woodville won 42-32 in their recent league bout against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Amery Warriors (Amery, WI) in a Middle Border bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Prescott will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 53-28 league win over Osceola (Osceola, WI).
