In Thursday's league outing, the Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX) basketball squad beat the host Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX), by a count of 39-29.

The Rangers (15-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Seminole (Seminole, TX). The Indians come into the 4A Region I District 3 challenge with a 23-7 record. In their last challenge, Seminole toppled Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX), 88-26, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Pecos Eagles (Pecos, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Andrews will attempt to upgrade on its 11-18 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-18 record after their 47-31 league loss to Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX).
