Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Reese Rockets (Reese, MI), 27-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Bad Axe upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Hatchets host Peck (Peck, MI) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Peck won 39-33 in their recent league bout against All Saints Central (Bay City, MI)

Next up, the Rockets play the Laker Lakers (Pigeon, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Reese will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 57-12 league loss to Caro (Caro, MI).
