Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), 41-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Beecher upgrades its record to 9-18 on the season. The Bobcats host Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL) to play the Panthers in a River Valley bout on Monday, February 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 12-17. Gardner-South Wilmington lost 50-23 in their recent league bout against Tri-Point (Cullom, IL)

Next up, the Comets play the Grace Christian Academy Crusaders (Kankakee, IL) in a River Valley bout, on Monday, February 6. Clifton Central will attempt to upgrade on its 14-15 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 39-33 league loss to Grant Park (Grant Park, IL).
