The Waverly Vikings basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Bishop Neumann Cavaliers to 32 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aurora for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. Waverly will meet a Huskies team coming off a 50-38 non-league loss to Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE). The Huskies record now stands at 5-12.
The Cavaliers (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Yutan (Yutan, NE). The Chieftains enter the C1 District 4 contest with a 18-3 record. In their last contest, Yutan was outscored by Malcolm (Malcolm, NE), 56-47, in a non-league contest.
