In Thursday's league outing, the Cascade Cougars (Turner, OR) basketball squad beat the visiting Philomath Warriors (Philomath, OR), by a count of 34-23.
The Cougars (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR). The Huskies go into the 4A Oregon West outing with a 4-13 record. In their last outing, Sweet Home was topped by Stayton (Stayton, OR), 51-21, in a league outing.
The Warriors now hold a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Newport for a 4A Oregon West outing on Monday, February 6. Philomath will clash with a Cubs squad coming off a 54-40 league win over North Marion (Aurora, OR). The Cubs record now stands at 10-8.
