The Luverne Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Central Lions to 20 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brantley for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. Luverne will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 35-24 non-league loss to Straughn (Andalusia, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-6.

The Lions (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Autaugaville (Autaugaville, AL). The Eagles enter the 1A Area 5 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Autaugaville triumphed over Dallas County (Plantersville, AL), 39-25, in a non-league contest.
