Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Des Moines Demons (Des Moines, NM), 54-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cimarron upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Rams host Springer (Springer, NM) to play the Red Devils in a A District 5 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 15-4. Springer won 49-19 in their recent league bout against Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM)

Next up, the Demons play the Roy/Mosquero Blue or Lady Blue (Roy, NM) in a A District 5 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Des Moines will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Blue or Lady Blue come into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 69-9 league win over Maxwell (Maxwell, NM).
