East Lyme Vikings (East Lyme, CT) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT), 43-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East Lyme upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to New London (New London, CT) to play the Whalers in a Eastern Connecticut - 1 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Whalers come into the bout with a record of 11-4. New London won 46-35 in their recent non-league bout against Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Fitch will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Redmen come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 46-34 non-league loss to Ledyard (Ledyard, CT).
