Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA) and the visiting Farrell Steelers (Farrell, PA), saw West Middlesex's basketball squad hold off Farrell by a tally of 45-40.

With the victory, West Middlesex improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Big Reds travel to Reynolds (Greenville, PA) to play the Raiders in a District 10 Region 1 challenge on Monday, February 6. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Reynolds lost 51-14 in their recent league challenge against Lakeview (Stoneboro, PA)

Next up, the Steelers play the Commodore Perry Panthers (Hadley, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 challenge, on Monday, February 6. Farrell will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 43-15 league loss to Mercer (Mercer, PA).
