Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Milpitas Trojans (Milpitas, CA), 43-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Fremont upgrades its record to 12-10 on the season. The Firebirds host Cupertino (Cupertino, CA) to play the Pioneers in a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 3-14.

Next up, the Trojans play the Wilcox Chargers (Santa Clara, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Milpitas will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 9-11 record after their 56-52 league loss to Gunn (Palo Alto, CA).
