Verona Wildcats (Verona, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Janesville Craig Cougars (Janesville, WI), 80-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Verona upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Madison Memorial (Madison, WI) to clash with the Spartans in a Big Eight bout on Saturday, February 4. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Madison Memorial lost 52-48 in their recent league bout against Sun Prairie West (Sun Prairie, WI)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Madison West Regents (Madison, WI) in a Big Eight bout, on Saturday, February 4. Janesville Craig will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Regents go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 62-23 league loss to Madison La Follette (Madison, WI).
