Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV), 61-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Linsly upgrades its record to 10-12 on the season. The Cadets travel to Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV) to clash with the Maroon Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Maroon Knights go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Wheeling Central Catholic lost 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against River (Hannibal, OH)

Next up, the Monarchs clash with the Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. John Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 14-8 season record.
