New Mexico High School Basketball - Pojoaque Valley topped by Los Alamos

The Los Alamos Hilltoppers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes to 37 in the Hilltoppers league victory on Thursday.
The Hilltoppers now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moriarty for a 4A District 2 contest on Saturday, February 4. Los Alamos will battle a Pintos team coming off a 69-31 non-league loss to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM). The Pintos record now stands at 12-9.
The Elks/Elkettes (8-14) will now prepare for their contest against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Sundevils come into the 4A District 2 contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Espanola Valley was defeated by Taos (Taos, NM), 37-31, in a league contest.
