In Thursday's non-league match, the host Wrenshall Wrens basketball team scored a tight 57-55 triumph over the McGregor Mercuries.
In their next game, the Wrens meet the Barnum Bombers (Barnum, MN) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 9. Wrenshall will attempt to better on its 1-13 season record.
With the defeat, McGregor moves to 4-14 on the year. The Mercuries travel to East Central (Sandstone, MN) to meet the Eagles in a A Section 5 match on Monday, February 6. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 5-13.
