The Questa Wildcats basketball team (Questa, NM), was nudged 43-41 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM)
The Panthers now possess a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mora for a 2A District 5 battle on Saturday, February 4. Penasco will confront a Rangers/Rangerettes team coming off a 63-19 league loss to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes record now stands at 6-14.
The Wildcats (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM). The Lobos come into the 2A District 5 battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, Escalante edged McCurdy (Espanola, NM), 58-11, in a league battle.
