Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL), 52-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Plainfield South upgrades its record to 6-19 on the season. The Cougars travel to Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL) to play the Bengals in a SouthWest Prairie - East bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Bengals go into the bout with a record of 20-6. Plainfield East lost 83-74 in their recent league bout against Joliet West (Joliet, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie - East bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Plainfield Central will attempt to upgrade on its 7-19 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 16-13 record after their 57-40 league win over Joliet Central (Joliet, IL).
