The Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers to 33 in the Eagles league victory on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hills-Beaver Creek for a A Section 3 contest on Monday, February 6. Southwest Minnesota Christian will battle a Patriots team coming off a 69-46 non-league loss to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD). The Patriots record now stands at 8-12.

The Chargers (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Edgerton (Edgerton, MN). The Flying Dutchmen come into the A Section 3 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Edgerton triumphed over Adrian/Ellsworth (Adrian, MN), 68-40, in a league contest.
