In Thursday's league outing, the Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Wagon Mound Trojans (Wagon Mound, NM), by a margin of 49-19.
The Red Devils (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Cimarron (Cimarron, NM). The Rams go into the A District 5 outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Cimarron smashed Des Moines (Des Moines, NM), 54-48, in a league outing.
The Trojans now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Roy/Mosquero for a A District 5 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Wagon Mound will clash with a Blue or Lady Blue squad coming off a 60-10 league win over Des Moines (Des Moines, NM). The Blue or Lady Blue record now stands at 19-2.
