Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA), 50-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chico upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA) to play the Cougars in a bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 18-3. Foothill lost 50-41 in their recent league bout against Shasta (Redding, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Enterprise Hornets (Redding, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Red Bluff will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 56-22 league loss to Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA).
