In Thursday's league outing, the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), by a margin of 60-22.
The Warriors (13-1) will now prepare for their outing against Franklin (Franklin, VA). The Broncos go into the non-league outing with a 2-4 record.
The Cavaliers now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hickory for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 7. Lakeland will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 59-11 non-league loss to Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-10.
